How We Do It
The hub-and-spoke system of major shippers is an environmental nightmare. It just doesn’t make sense to ship something from New York City to the Midwest when London is its final destination. FGX ships direct from New York City to international destinations worldwide, and it does it in a more socially responsible, greener way by shipping direct.
Large shippers like FedEx, UPS and DHL rely on a hub-and-spoke system. This means your shipment from New York to London has to take two different flights—one to get to a hub, such as FedEx’s in Memphis, Tenn., and then another to get to England. (The map below illustrates the efficiency of shipping direct, versus the inefficiency and waste of hub-and-spoke shippers.)

For continental Europe, it’s even worse. DHL’s shipping to Europe gets routed through Brussels, Belgium. So your package from New York to Paris will actually take three different flights before reaching its final destination.
And when it comes to Asia? Fuggedaboudit. Shipments from the U.S. get routed through Alaska. Can you think of a more-out-of-the-way location than Alaska to route a package?
FGX doesn’t rely on the hub-and-spoke systems of large shippers like FedEx, DHL or UPS. With FGX, your package from New York to London will be on one flight, from New York to London. Sending that package to Lisbon? One flight. Hong Kong? One flight. We can cut the miles your package travels by 25% or more, because at FGX, we ship direct.
We partner with more than 100 commercial airlines to be able to ship your packages direct. If a commercial flight exists, we can get your package there.
